Bicycle Service Lead

Location: North Bend, WA

Job Summary:

The Line Experience is on a mission to help individuals experience the joy and freedom of riding bikes. We provide low-cost bike rentals and skill building areas to progress in the sport while creating a welcoming community for riders of all levels.  

Located in North Bend, Washington, our Experience Center is the gateway to PNW outdoor recreation. We believe biking is for everyone, and we encourage the responsible use and appreciation of local parks and green spaces. From the Snoqualmie Valley Trail to local world-class singletrack, we provide equipment, coaches, services, and area expertise to bring mountain and gravel biking to everyone.   

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop, document and teach best practices and procedures for service. 

  • Create and maintain a service schedule and work assignments.  

  • Hire, train, and manage bicycle technicians. 

  • Meet service timelines and goals. 

  • Lead with technical skills and knowledge. 

  • Recommend training and/or train employees on best practices and factory-specified services. 

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repair on all types of bicycles. 

  • Diagnose and troubleshooting issues with bicycles. 

  • Perform customization of bicycles based on rider needs and preferences. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and inventory of bike parts and supplies  

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in bike technology  

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.  

 

Requirements:  

  • Knowledge of different types of bicycles and components  

  • Good project management and prioritization skills  

  • Willingness to learn and be trained on new technology 

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with bicycles  

  • Certification in bicycle maintenance and repair or equivalent experience (preferred)  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills  

  • Passion for cycling and a desire to share knowledge and expertise with others  

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 

 

This position requires physical requirements such as the ability to lift and move bicycles weighing up to 50 pounds, the ability to stand for extended periods of time, and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
