Washington State E-Bike Rebate Program (WE Bike)

WE Bike Program - April 2025

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) e-bike instant rebate program demonstrates the commitment Washington state has towards active transportation by assisting its residents in purchasing bikes that best suit their needs. Rebates of $300 or $1200 (depending on eligibility) will be awarded via random selection. Please click the button below to register for the opportunity to receive a rebate.

How to apply

  • Go to: EbikesWSDOT.aptim.com

  • Fill in your name, age, address, and somebasic info about yourself.

  • Optional: You can choose to verify your income to learn if you are eligible for an income-qualified rebate. You can also choose to join a University of Washington study about this program by downloading their app. This helps us understand how useful the program is.

Who can apply

  • Anyone 16 years or older living in Washington state.

  • Applicants must be able to proveresidency to receive rebates.

Who gets an instant rebate and how much

  • Applicants are picked randomly.

  • If you verify your income, you may receive $1,200. If not, you may receive $300.

  • You are income-qualified if your household income is 80% or less of your county's median income.

Rebates can be used for:

  • Fully assembled, eligible e-bikes (a list of eligible bikes can be found at EbikesWSDOT.aptim.com).

  • All three classes of e-bikes, including trikes and adaptive bikes (electric mountain bikes are not included).

  • Safety gear like helmets, locks, lights,and safety vests.

  • Any installation or maintenance work agreed upon at the time of purchase.

Rebates can be used:

  • At participating bike shops - including The Line!

  • Within 45 days

Bike education and ownership

  • Information about safe e-bike ownership, riding and charging will be available to anyone accessing EbikesWSDOT.aptim.com
