The Line × Gear House Seattle: 2026 Monthly Gravel Ride Series: We're riding together every month this season — April through October, all departing from The Line in North Bend. The series is designed to build gradually so you can show up to Ride 1 with zero experience and finish October feeling like a different cyclist. Every ride is beginner-accessible and free to join.

ABOUT THE RIDE:
Ride 1 takes us south on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail toward Rattlesnake Lake — smooth packed gravel, no roads, no technical sections. The climb is gradual enough that most people don't notice it until they're coasting back. The lake is a beautiful turnaround with views of the Cascades. Plan for about 15 miles and 350–400 feet of elevation gain total.
HOW IT WORKS:
The whole group will ride together at a social pace with a designated ride leader. We'll regroup as needed and no ride will be left behind. Before or after the ride, Arête Café inside The Line is a great spot to grab coffee, food, or a drink.
WHAT TO BRING:
Wear: Comfortable clothing you can move in — check the forecast and dress in layers. Close-toed shoes. Padded cycling shorts called chamois (carried at The Line) are a highly recommended nice-to-have.
Pack: A water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, and any snacks you want on the trail.
Bike: Bring your own or rent one at The Line. A gravel bike or hardtail mountain bike works best on this route. Rentals include a helmet.
