The Line started here. North Bend HQ is the full basecamp: the largest rental fleet, the Transition Demo Center, full-service bike repair, the Suspension Lab, retail from Transition, Pivot, Salsa, and Orbea, and the Arete cafe with a patio that looks straight up at Mount Si.

Every other location in The Line network runs a trailhead rental container. This is the one with everything.

Whether you are picking up a rental before a ride, demoing a bike you are thinking about buying, dropping yours off for service, or just coming in to talk bikes, this is the shop.

WHAT MAKES NORTH BEND THE HQ

One shop. Every part of the sport.

No other location has all of this in one place. Here is what you will find.

Rentals

The full fleet: hardtail and full-suspension mountain bikes, e-bikes, gravel, e-gravel, and kids bikes. If you want to ride it, we probably have it here. Reserve online and pick it up in the shop.

Transition Demo Center

One of only a few official Transition Demo Centers in the country. Book a demo slot, ride the bike on real Cascades terrain, and make an informed decision. One hundred percent of your demo fee applies toward purchase if you decide to buy.

Full-Service Repairs

Our certified technicians handle everything from standard tune-ups to full rebuilds. We use factory tools and parts, and we can get you back out on your bike.

The Suspension Lab

The only place in the area with Mike's TuneCode dynamic suspension coaching process. Two hours, on the bike, on a purpose-built course, with slow-motion video analysis. For full-suspension riders who want to ride their bike the way it was meant to be ridden. Every skill level.

Retail

Transition, Pivot, Salsa, and Orbea bikes, plus a curated selection of gear and accessories. We do not limit you to what is on the floor. If you want a specific model or size, we can order it for you.

Arete Cafe + Patio

Coffee, local beer, and snacks. The patio has a view of Mount Si. It is a good place to be before a ride and a better place to be after one.
MTB Skills Course on-site at HQ for riders building the fundamentals.

Capable and comfortable. Good for flow trails, gravel, and mixed terrain. A solid choice if you are new to mountain biking or want a lighter bike for more cross-country terrain.

Full-Suspension Mountain Bikes

Built for singletrack. If you are headed out on the local trail network or want to experience what a quality full-suspension bike does on real dirt, start here.

E-Bikes / E-MTB

Electric assist on the trail network and the valley trails. Go farther, ride longer, enjoy more of it. E-bike rules vary by trail; see the e-bike FAQ on the rentals page for current trail permissions.

Gravel Bikes - Flat Bar and Drop Bar

For the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and the Palouse to Cascades Trail. Flat bar for an upright, comfortable position; drop bar if you want to cover more ground efficiently.

Kids Bikes

Sizes and styles for kids of all ages. Youth bikes from Strider and Woom. Helmets included.
Want to try a Transition before you buy one? The demo fleet is here too. See the Demos section below.
WHERE TO RIDE FROM NORTH BEND HQ

The trail access here is the reason the shop is here.

North Bend sits at the gateway to the Cascades, and the riding starts right from the shop.

Snoqualmie Valley Trail
A paved and packed-gravel rail trail running through the valley floor. Good for families, new riders, anyone wanting a scenic ride without technical terrain. Gravel bikes and e-bikes are a natural fit.
Palouse to Cascades Trail
A longer trail corridor heading east into the Cascades. Great for distance riders and gravel adventurers.
Local Trail Network
Fast access to the MTB trail network from the shop. If you are not sure where to start, ask us. We know what is riding well right now.
Ride Guide: check our full Ride Guide at theline.bike/ride-guide for route details, current conditions, and staff picks. We also recommend the Trailforks app for real-time trail status.
TRANSITION BIKES DEMO CENTER

Ride it before you buy it. Here, on real terrain.

The Line is one of a small number of official Transition Demo Centers in the country. If you are thinking about a Transition and want to know how it rides before you commit, this is how you find out.

Book a demo slot at North Bend HQ or at our Snoqualmie Point Park container. We set the bike up for you and you take it onto the actual trails it was built for. The Sentinel, the Spire, the Scout, the Spur, the Smuggler, the full mountain bike and e-MTB lineup.

One hundred percent of your demo fee applies toward the purchase price if you decide to buy. Same manufacturer pricing. We handle the build, the setup, and the fit.

100% OF YOUR DEMO FEE TOWARD PURCHASE
If you ride it and want to buy it, the full demo cost comes off the price of the bike.

THE SUSPENSION LAB

Your suspension, set up for the way you ride.

Most bikes come from the factory with suspension settings that fit nobody in particular. The Suspension Lab fixes that.

Mike developed the TuneCode process: a two-hour session on the bike, on a purpose-built course at Raging River, with slow-motion video analysis and real-time coaching. We do a static setup first, then you ride, and we watch what your wheels are actually doing. The result is a suspension setting calibrated to your weight, your speed, your riding style, and your preferred stance, not a chart.

You leave knowing how to keep your bike there. And if it drifts, you know how to bring it back. Full-suspension bikes only. Every skill level, from new riders to experienced racers.
