Set up your bike for the way you ride.

Find Your TuneCode™
Mountain Bike Dynamic Suspension Coaching
MTB Suspension is our passion and what The Line is known for.
Owner Mike (formerly Edgar Bikes) developed a unique and fun process we call TuneCode. We set your bike up for your riding style, speed, and preferred riding stance. Whether you’re new to mountain bikes, a professional racer, you have a new bike, or a “new to you” bike, we can help make it the best ride you’ve ever had. Guaranteed.
The process is a full 2 hours — be ready to ride!
Dan reviews The Line’s Dynamic Suspension Coaching course at Raging River Trailhead.
“A life-changing experience. I never had anyone just uniquely figure out how to dial in my suspension for me.”
Dan
This is the premier MTB suspension set up clinic, and the only one like it!
The course is based at the Raging River Trail System, convenient to the Seattle area and eastern Washington.
What’s Included:
Hands-on two hours of personal coaching for you and set-up for your bike.
We teach you how all the bits work and why they matter. We can get as geeky as you want or keep it simple.
Initial static suspension set-up
Then we ride:
Dynamic sag testing
Specially designed suspension course
Slow-motion video to watch your wheels while you ride.
You get to feel a perfect setup for your riding style. And learn to keep it there!
We can accept up to 4 bikes and/or riders. (additional bikes are half price)
Is your bike holding you back?
[Rule #1: It’s your bike’s fault!]
Suspension is about balance, dynamic movement and force (mass times acceleration). You simply can’t do an adequate job of tuning this in a shop. In our outdoor lab, we do static and dynamic setup, slow motion video analysis, and personalized coaching. The result is not only a bike perfectly tuned to you, but the knowledge to adjust it as needed to keep it perfect. We will give you access to our beta software called TuneCode® to record your settings so you can always get back to that baseline.
We recommend swinging by the shop with your bike the week before the class to make sure everything is in good working order.
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy and if your bike is broken, we can’t set it up.
Full suspension bikes only
The course is designed to work with any discipline of MTB including: Downhill, Trail, XC and Enduro bikes. We can even handle Downcountry!
Weather can play a factor. Cold and rain makes it difficult to tune the set up so we may need to reschedule if it’s too wet.
Best for 1-4 bikes with 1-4 riders
“If you're looking to elevate your riding, gain a deeper understanding of your suspension, and learn from someone who clearly lives and breathes this sport, I can’t recommend this clinic highly enough. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish.”
Denny
“Mike changed the game for me. Getting your suspension set by an expert, specifically set to your weight, riding style and goals is tantamount to a proper bike fit for a roadie. You must do it and you will ask yourself why you didn’t do it sooner. “

Suspension Service
Does your bike suck or wheeze? Does it do odd things when you ride it? Have you ever had your suspension serviced? Most manufacturers recommend 50 hour basic service and 100-200 hour full rebuilds. Often this is once a year.
You’ll be shocked (see what we did there?) to feel the difference, since your suspension gradually wears down. Front forks, rear suspension, or both - we guarantee a more comfortable ride, better performance and more control for a safer ride. We're certified suspension technicians and do our work in house with factory tools and parts.

Give the gift of a better ride

The Basics - Suspension Set-Up
Have you done our full suspension set up clinic and need to recheck things? Did you get a new bike and want to just go through it with us? Do you have questions about suspension that the infinite (and confusing) interwebs can’t answer for you? Or are you struggling with progressing and aren’t sure why?
All of these are a good reason to come by The Line to have us take a look at your bike. Bikes are complex and need to be set up to your unique requirements. Factory settings are almost always off - each person and each bike has unique balance, weight and speed requirements that no chart can accommodate. Let us help you get set up for success.
No matter what type of biking you enjoy, you'll benefit from a bike set-up that is properly adjusted to fit your body and your riding style. Our certified set-up specialists will discuss your approach and goals. We'll then work with you to determine your ideal suspension set-up and bike geometry.
With a custom set-up, you can be more comfortable, more efficient, and more powerful on every ride. You’ll also be less likely to sustain injuries on a bike that has been configured to meet your needs and the type of trails you ride.
Service Guarantee
When you bring your bicycle to us for suspension work, our friendly, professionally trained technicians will assess your bike's needs and provide you with a free, no-obligation estimate. We won’t upsell you unnecessarily, and we’ll work with you to figure out the best way to accomplish your goals on your budget. Whether your bike is in need of a minor adjustment or a complete refresh, we promise that your ride is in good hands. Our rebuilds and high end Lab services are done in house, in partnership with Edgar Bikes, a trusted name in the Pacific NW.
Personal, collaborative service
We want to make the most of your time and get your bike ready to ride. You can schedule a drop-off time to help us be as efficient as possible. During your drop-off appointment we'll evaluate the work needed with you, identify any parts we need to order, and timing for your service. We strive for a couple days turnaround after a scheduled drop off. We also offer discounted rental bikes during service so you can keep riding!
